Prenatal & Postpartum
Prenatal or pregnancy massage is for women carrying and experiencing a changing body, aches, and tiredness. We aim to keep the body relaxed and prepared for the miracle of birth. We alleviate pain and muscle fatigue where you need it most. This session is tailored to address the changes that occur in a woman’s body during pregnancy and provide an overall sense of balance and calm to the expectant mother. (Check with your doctor to see if there are any contraindications specific to you.)
Postpartum can be any time in the first year after having given birth. The massage addresses aches, pains, and discomforts as the result of labor and new ways a mother has adapted to parenting.
Reiki is a Japanese healing method that addresses pain, anxiety, & stress-related discomfort in the body with a gentle, yet powerful hands-on technique. Kimberly assists in the movement & balancing of life-force energy, aiding in deep relaxation & well-being. This therapy is holistic; it complements traditional medicine & is used in hospitals to help alleviate pain after surgery, following cancer treatments, & pre and post labor. Clients remained clothed.
Ortho-Bionomy® is a healing modality that works through the body’s innate ability for self-correction.
Gentle, quick & effective at relieving chronic & acute pain, it helps increase mobility & release muscle & fascial tension that hold us in postural patterns. The work is grounding & centering & brings ease to both body & mind. A client need not experience more pain to get out of pain. Clients learn self-care techniques to extend Ortho-Bionomy®’s healing effects.
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, yet potent & effective therapy works with the structural elements of the nervous system. Mary practices the Biodynamic approach that brings a deep stillness throughout the body, inviting a profound meta level of healing that is inclusive of all layers & aspects of one’s growth potential.
Cranial work is very helpful in the relief of headaches, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), injuries, PTSD, and more! The work encourages deep & calm relaxation of the nervous system – and a relaxed nervous system is one that can learn, adapt, and be resilient. Clients remain clothed throughout the treatment.
Aromatherapy massage uses natural essential oils diluted in whole and natural carrier oils, such as almond or jojoba oils. One benefits from direct contact and with inhalation of the essential oils.
Hot Stone Massage
Round, smooth stones are heated to comforting warmth, oiled and used in the palm of the hands to massage the body. Heat penetrates deeply, prompting profound relaxation, increased circulation to affected areas, and relief of long-standing muscular tension, stress and fatigue.
Cupping – Myofascial Decompression
Cupping is a traditional therapy that has been practiced worldwide. It is safe and effective at helping release adhesions, drain excess fluid, increase blood flow to skin and muscles, and much more. One may choose to schedule this treatment to help with conditions related to diabetes, cellulite, pain, anxiety, asthma, and more.
Facial Cupping is a form of cupping that uses small cups to create a gentle vacuum effect, lifting the facial tissue. This technique helps to increase circulation, and bring nutrients to the skin, creating a rejuvenating, healthy glow to the one’s face. Treatments can reduce tension in skin and muscles, loosen scar tissue, reduce wrinkles, and decrease symptoms of TMJ disorders. Sinus infections and inflammation can be relieved by the loosening and draining effects of facial cupping.
Tandem "Couples" Massage
We welcome groups of two only (since 2020). Friends, family, partners – experience the benefits of massage. Our quaint office is very comfortable and all our therapists have many years of experience. We can ensure your time is truly enjoyable, high quality, and well spent. Consider booking for special occasions, such as an anniversary, a mother-daughters’ day, or BFFS!
We are sorry but we do not do massages with two clients in one room, as one might think of a “couples” massage. Don’t let this disappoint, because time spent receiving a massage is best used for quiet and deep relaxation.
A massage provided in the client’s home at his or her convenience. This service must be scheduled by talking to Julie, the owner, in advance. We are professional licensed and insured massage therapists and strictly do therapeutic massage. In the interest of protecting ourselves from solicited illegal and inappropriate requests, we reserve the right to refuse service to those clients who disrespect our professionalism, and attempt to step over personal boundaries.
